The College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists have recommended routine vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine mRNA vaccine (cominarty) at any stage of pregnancy.  The safety of this vaccine is now confirmed following information concerning many pregnant women who have been vaccinated with the mRNA COVID vaccine at any stage of pregnancy.  We are also aware of information that the antibodies found in cord blood and breastmilk may protect the baby against COVID.  We strongly encourage women to consider vaccination with the Pfizer vaccine.  This is a change in the National Policy from earlier advice.
