Recent evidence has shown that putting a frozen embryo back after a fresh embryo transfer has results at least as good as transferring two fresh embryos. Advances in freezing and thawing are responsible for this. Single pregnancies are more desirable as there are higher risks of miscarriage, premature delivery and fetal anomaly with multiple pregnancies. This is another case of scientific advance improving outcomes for couples in the fertility field.
