For some time Gynaecologists have been aware that many cases of ovarian cancer arrive from the fallopian tubes. The fallopian tubes simply transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus, but they do not produce any hormones and therefore do not play a role in menopause. For this reason many women have their tubes removed at the time of hysterectomy. This is a further advance in women’s health care.
