With a simple blood test our accuracy of approaching 100%, we can detect major chromosome abnormalities in the baby earlier on in the pregnancy. The accuracy of this test approaches amniocentesis. The Queensland Fertility Group of which I am a member is working at perfecting this technology and should be the first laboratory in Queensland to offer this service.
