The American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists has recommended that Paracetamol and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories e.g. Voltaren/Indocid be used in preference for gynaecological pain.  Opioid based drugs such as Panadeine Forte or Endone should be reserved for more severe pain.
